The Georgia First Amendment Foundation hosts or participates in three key annual events:
Weltner Award Banquet
The annual Weltner Freedom of Information Banquet honors a person or group whose work has significantly improved or protected freedom of information in Georgia. The event is the foundation’s largest fundraiser.
Gold Dome
Held soon after the General Assembly convenes, this annual public event dives into government transparency issues emerging in the session.
Georgia Bar Media & Judiciary Conference
This annual one-day session for judges, journalists, lawyers and the public explores trends in First Amendment law and their impact on the people and press.
